Walnut and Rattan Wall Sculpture

Hand-carved from walnut wood with carved lines, this piece is painted with a plumberry / lilac milk paint, then sanded back to reveal the wood underneath, then finished with a danish oil / wax. The colors of the reed are variations of lilac, mauve, and gray-blue.

The reeds are carefully dyed and bent into dynamic, curved lines that cascade from the wooden cloud, creating movement and playful intersections. The sculpture is lightweight and easy to display, hanging securely with an included French cleat.
